BUILD JUNE 1 at 8 am SIGN UP
We are eager to work with you to start building our garden beds!
Laurie Vanderwal  is leading the volunteers for the June 1st Build.  Please contact her at tlvanderwal@gmail.com to let her know if you can help!
Laurie is bringing a kitchen tent to set up food on. We have one 6' Table to put food on.
Please bring a potluck dish to share with other volunteers - please let Laurie know what you are thinking to bring so co-ordinate a variety of dishes.
I will bring a big container of drinking water - if you would like something else please bring it along.
We would like to know how many volunteers are coming - Please sign up with Laurie so we know how many we are organizing for.  Many hands make quick fun work and how exciting its going to be so see the very first beds go in.

WAITLIST for Raised Bed or 1/2 raised bed:  If you want to be on the wait list for a box, please contact me at cgsandhurst@shaw.ca with "waitlist" in the subject or body of the email and your contact information. All people on wait list are required to help with the build or in some other role in the garden.  There are all kinds of opportunities, little and big, that will fit your skills and interests in the garden - we need you!  We may only be building 4-6 boxes on June 1st.   Opportunities will keep coming up to build more raised beds as we raise more funds.

LOGO CONTEST:  The logo contest is still open and we thank entrants in the contest for their patience as we get the garden built!  We have awesome logo's submitted and you can view them on our Facebook page.

DONATIONS:  We are seeking donations of garden tools/garden equipment/lawn mower/watering hose/watering cans and of course cash! If you have any good condition tools for the tool share for the garden, please let me know.  We have had community residents approach us wanting to support the garden with donations! We are ready! Thank you for your generosity. Cheques can be made out to the Acadia Community Garden and Art Society. We are a non-profit, and will not be able to give out charitable tax receipts.  We can give you a lovely button or fridge magnet that is our token of appreciation that you supported the Acadia Community Garden! :)
